How Not to Design a Form

I don’t claim to be a usability genius but I ran across a couple of websites today that just made me say, “eh?”

Take this site for example: it’s your typical profile page.. but, the save button is not where 99.9% of users expect it to be.

Where is your save button?

If I don’t enable popups, the login button becomes disabled. I still can’t think of any good reason why pop ups should be enabled on my bank’s site. At first, I was thinking it was for security reasons, but there are a lot of ways to handle security, and pop ups would be way down the list of them.

I need popups to see my balance?

I am a little more forgiving with this site because I do understand it’s to help against keylogging. I hate using it, though.

You could call me “soooo” critical about these things, but in my years of working, I’ve come to understand that it’s the little things that matter the most to users.

How about you guys? Run into any sites like this lately?
